Laynie Pitts

Biography

Hello! My name is Laynie Pitts! I am a senior at IU pursuing a BA in Media with a concentration in Film/TV/Digital Production, focusing mainly on Multi-Camera Production and Broadcasting. I am also pursuing two minors, one in Web Design & Development and the other in Informatics.

I am the Executive Director/Producer of the IU Student Television network, which is a completely student run television studio that produces news, sports, and entertainment shows. We are a Broadcast Pacemaker nominated organization. I am also the Director of Community Engagement for the IDS, where I help them form deep and meaningful relationships with members of the community.

I have had four internships in my time at IU: remote social media manager for a company out in LA, social media campaign intern for Hirons INC, photography intern and Media Head for a winter guard circuit, and a film production internship in London.

I love to read and write when I have time, and can often be found behind a camera on the weekends working with Big Ten Student U. My goal is to get into the NBC Page Program and work for multi-camera productions like SNL, The Tonight Show, or Late Night with Seth Meyers. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
