Biography
Aditya is a fourth-year doctoral candidate at The Media School. His primary research interest is in Sports & Media– an amalgamation of fan psychology, communication in sports, audience analysis, and fandom. This interdisciplinary research interest intersects with psychophysiology and data science. Other research interests include message appeals and viewer engagement with media.
In his doctoral dissertation, Aditya is investigating how fans’ aggressive tendencies and cognition get impacted due to mediated crowd behavior using a psychophysiological approach.
Aditya received his Master of Science in Journalism from E. W. Scripps School of Journalism, Ohio University and Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the College of Media & Communication, Texas Tech University. Prior to joining IU, he was working full-time as a data analyst in the department of institutional research (IR) at a higher education institution in Colorado.
