Black Camera publishes new spring issue

Black Camera’s Vol. 16, No. 2 spring publication features six peer-reviewed articles, three dossiers, including the inaugural Black Film Center & Archive dossier that focuses on Jessie Maple, the “African Women in Cinema Dossier” by Beti Ellerson, a new dossier by Olivier Barlet, and a book review. This is the last volume edited by Herman B Wells Endowed Professor (Class of 1948) Michael Martin. Professor Akin Adesokan will take over as editor-in-chief starting on Aug. 1.
A journal of Black film studies, Black Camera is devoted to the study and documentation of the Black cinematic experience and aims to engender and sustain a formal academic discussion of Black film production.
